This local hideaway, embedded in the coastal hills of Laguna Beach, acts as a public canvas to artists and hikers lucky enough to find these painted caves.
The nearest residential street to the small trail that leads to the caves is Alpine Way, and from there you’ll see a small path next to an elementary school’s playground fences. Make your way to the path along the fences and continue to follow the coordinates which will take you further down the slanted hillside. Then look over into the canyon on the left side for any hints of the cave opening. A small climb down the side of the canyon is required to reach the painted caves, but the effort is worth the reward.
